My helper

I was grading papers last night and turned away for a minute and Paws jumped right in to help me out. Cats are just so funny. They totally know when you have some important papers....they feel the need to keep them warm for you or maybe in my case, she is reviewing my grading system. Paws also have been a wonderful nurse ( as well as Clayton) with all our aliments this fall.
Now I ask you, would a dog help out this much?

I'd answer "yes" to your question. It's so nice to have them around.

well of course a doggy would :)

I think cats are more intuitive to the finer human emotions. But I do like dogs too, just don't have one now. I had a tortoise shell cat name Meiko years ago and your cat reminds me of her.

in a word... no, my dog would not help, she would have torn all the papers to shreds before i even knew she had them, but gary's dog would have helped i think

But Jim, I'm sure your dog would be all dressed up for the job!

jim's comment made me laugh! his dog surely is quite an active one... I have no clue about animals. thanks for the jar question. I haven't made jars lately; and after reading your comment, was encouraged, so I made a vase instead... a pretty tall one! you're missed at clayworks. it's good though, to still follow your work through the blog. i'll try and make a few jars tomorrow; that's a good challenge, thanks!

Thanks Amy, I 'll have to send Clayworks a Christmas card greeting! I miss all of you that where so eager to learn all about the clay world and being a potter.

Make sure you get a good thick lip on there for the flang ( but hey, I don't need to tell you that!)
